Default New Audi Model Naming Strategy Not Coming To The US

It looks like the new Audi naming system will not be used in the US.

In the way of background.

Phew. I'd have to have gone for a partial "badge delete".

Dental floss and heat gun. My S4 badges were all gone in less than 15 minutes

That makes sense not to bring it to America. With our A4, we have two engine choices, the 190HP Ultra and the 252HP version, both gasoline engines. I looked up the UK where the A4 is offered with EIGHTEEN different engines of petrol and diesel types. If you think finding the right model on the lot is hard here with only two choices, imagine how hard it would be in Europe where you have to find one of 18 different engines plus options. I'm glad they're sticking with the old way. I like the 2.0T quattro on the back of my car.

That is for a wide range of A4 models.

Seven choices for the A4 Saloon:

Hate this idea from Audi, no-one will be able to understand what 55 means, and it is kW, not horsepower, so it proves even the 'experts' get it wrong. This is to reflect the outputs of electric-powered hybrid systems and/or pure electric powertrains...

Wise choice. These extended letter and number names are way out of control.

Thank goodness. The current naming scheme is so easy to understand relative to the competitors.
