The big round things in the front bottom valance is your front facing radar dome not a fog light. Front fogs are build into headlights. Confusing, I know.

They don't look like fog lights to me at all, they are just black spheres.
Do rear fogs remain on when you start the car, or do you have to turn them on every time. I like to use rear fogs as rear DRLs, or does Q7 have rear DRL?

if your thinking of the black sphere where a typical fog light is supposed to be.. that's the radar sensors.. lol... i was like that too on the test drive...

These spheres are a dead giveaway from the outside, that the vehicle has or does not have DAP. Most of the Qs I see around here dont have DAP.
Lighting technology has come a long way nowadays (although I think Audi LED lights are crap), so why not utilize that real estate for other things?

But then you would have people complaining why they can't have "nicer" fog lamps that people without DAP get, or if they put an accent/trim there, same issue.
I think german LEDs are crap in general, the spread and pattern is bad on both BMW and MB, but I haven't seen Q7's personally, i expect it to better since they had so much time to improve and learn from others' mistakes on LED.

They do a great job of illuminating the sides of the road.
