2015 S5 vs. 2018 S4
Hello All,
I have a 1st world decision to make and I would like some input from those who have driven both the S5 and S4. I am currently leasing a 2015 S5 Coupe with the black optics package and I have to say I love the engine, balance, and feel of it. My lease is coming up in February and I am thinking about a loaded S4 to replace my S5. I like having 4 doors because sometimes I take customers or buddies out and the coupe is not conducive to comfort in the rear.
I have test driven the S4 and its a great car, I have not driven the new S5, just don't like the look at all. I do have some concerns with it though mainly the engine, engine sound drone, and feel is not quite like the S5. Anyone out there been test driving the new S5 and S4 with input for me by chance?
I have owned BMW 335s, 550s, in the past and may have to go test drive some of those too..
Cheers!

I have not driven one of the new turbocharged 3 liter cars yet but I worry that I would miss the instant throttle response of my supercharged S5.
For the record, the new S5 and S4 engine’s are identical. Timing chain drives were simplified and improved several years back. They ARE still located at the rear of the engine though and repair when it does happen is not easy.( but that is way out there past 100k miles. Maybe 200k if serviced regularly .)
