RS3 TPMS Individual Tire Pressure Display
Hey Guys,
Does anybody know if the RS3 displays individual tire pressure? I noticed that my wife's AMG CLA45 does and so does the BMW M2's. When I searched I couldn't find anything showing individual tire pressure.

Yes, if you get the Dynamic plus package. Part of that package is direct TPMS which will give you pressure and temperature for each tire. Standard TPMS is indirect, which doesn't use sensors in the tires and instead determines loss of pressure by measuring oscillations in the wheel assembly via the ABS senors. The indirect system is relative. It learns the reference pressure and then reports if it sees a 20% deviation from the learned reference, but it doesn't know the absolute tire pressure.

Direct TPMS or direct tire pressure monitoring systems refers to the use of a pressure sensor directly mounted on the wheels or tires of a vehicle. The pressure inside the tire is measured using a pressure transducer with the pressure information being subsequently sent to the vehicle to warn the driver of under or over inflation of a tire.
The pressure information is commonly transmitted to the vehicle using radio frequency (RF) technology, through systems using mechanical, electrical or magnetic methods. A typical direct TPMS (e.g. Ford, BMW or Toyota) comprises the following components on a vehicle:
- A direct tire pressure monitoring (TPM) sensor fitted to the back of the valve stem on each wheel.
- A TPM Warning Light.
- Unique identifier (ID's) for which tire is providing the data including speed and the direction of rotation.
- A tire pressure monitor engine control unit (ECU).
- Antenna(s).
- Controller for periodic measurements.
- Source of power.
- Diagnostics and wake up system.

Anyone know of any tire pressure guages that can mounted on the tire to give pressure while driving?
