Default Rear Window Shade

Dear All

Please could someone advise.

Rear Shade clip has come off, little screw is missing. Audi UK will only fit new complete shade kit, includes removal of rear seats will cost just under £1000.00. Does anyone have an answer.

Thank you in advance

Very best Dougal

Get a substitute screw if that's all it is. If it is a broken clip (common failure) someone on here used to sell replacement aluminum ones. Find or fabricate one.

I need one but use my shade maybe 3 times a year so I live with the shade falling off the arm 1/3rd of the time and just put it back on track myself.

Funny I have the same issue myself. Every so often it falls off and I clip it back on. What is the clip the breaks?

Option 1 easy) Just get the screw mate if the clip has not broken. I ordered a replacement set of clips but as I thought mine had broken but the screw was just a little loose. If you get a small screw the job is tight and neck breaking without the seat removed but can be done. To remove the seats takes me 10 mins but the first time may take you 45mins. Option2 if clip is broken Easy/Med)
Option 3 time consuming and costly and you'll probably break some trim on the way)If you wnat to replace the whole unit give yourself 3 or 4 hours as you need to take out more than the rear seats. Go to my pics in my gallery and you will see I have totally dtripped most of my interior out.
