Turbo died two days before Trade in!!
Murphy's law, my 2013 S6 decided to die on me at the first traffic light after driving home this evening from work. 50 miles on highway then exit and bam it dies and won' restart as much as it wanted to. I'm betting plugs just went at 99k miles. Now the Murphy's law part is I'm picking up my new 2018 SQ5 next week. Had my car towed to the dealer which was 3 miles away? If its plugs that could be an expensive repair. Should I repair it or tell them to give my trade in a week early? Igf I do that do they have me by the short hairs now? What should I do?

Did they appraise your car already? If not have them throw a number on it with the condition it's currently in and ask the service dept what's the estimate to repair it.

I doubt that all 8 plugs went at the exact same time. Regardless, fouled/worn plugs would only make it run a little rough and ignite the CEL. I'm thinking something else is at play here.

Update
Well went to the dealer today and they informed me that the turbo went. $6k + for parts and $3k+ labor for a total of $10k. Anyone with any context if this makes sense? My car is just about $99k miles. They were going to give me $22k for my car now I get $12k. I want to literally cry!! Am I getting raped here?

Wow, that sucks! Sorry to hear that. One option would be to look for S6/7 owners who have upgraded to RS6 turbos. You could pick up their cast-offs for pennies on the dollar, I'll bet. Take it to an indie shop to reduce the labour cost. With some luck and a bit of leg work, you might escape with a bill a third of your current quote.

Were the turbo gaskets & brackets serviced under recall
I had a leaky gasket replaced when the car was 6 mos old and again at about 2 years, all under warranty. About a year ago I got an email that the gasket and bracket were being replaced (with a new design) under a recall and I had them replaced again. Do you know why the turbo failed? This info might get Audi to kick in some cash. Good luck!
