Default Zaino

2 coats Zaino ZFX-activated Z2 with Z6 mist after each. Needed little over 1 oz. of Z2 product and 1/2 bottle Z6, Zaino towels and applicators. Pretty happy with mirror finish.

I use to be a Zaino advocate. I have switched to Sonax, which is far superior to Zaino in both shine and durability.

Sonax on my 70,000 mile daily driver. Application time is less than an hour. Still shines and water still beads 6 months after application.

How easy is the removal of Sonax? I like NuFinish for the durability (not so much shine) but it can be a real PITA to remove.

I also used to used Zaino way back when, but there are many other products that have surpassed it. I'm only familiar with Sonax wheels cleaner. Is that a wax or e sealant? Your car looks good and 6 months is a long time to keep beading. Is your car garaged?

Which Sonax product specifically did you use?

The car is not garaged. She is my daily driver and has been outdoors for 3.5 years. I use Sonax’s Polymer Net Shield. The wheel cleaner is also a great product.

Zaino is an excellent product and is spot on in its protection. I used it exclusively for about 10 years. At one time it was probably the best polymer out there. Now there are several others, Sonax PNS and its QD to replenish its effect time-to-time is another. There's so many products flooding the market it's difficult to sort through the 'fog' of claims as is usual in our culture today. Typically a good polymer will last 4-6 months of reliable protection chemically linked to the surface. A good wax carnauba may last a month as it is purely topical and wears away fairly quickly after exposure to the elements.

Interesting, very impressive. I used to uses Klasse AIO and sealant on some of my earlier cars with pretty good results - those cars were not garaged either. I have had a coating professionally applied to my 2017 Allroad - which is currently garaged, but will not be after next week. But I may give this a try on my wife's Subaru Outback come Spring.
