Hi, I was wondering if anyone has an idea of what my Q7 SOMETIMES does on startup.
It has a little clatter, or rattle that only lasts for a second. It Doesn't always do it.
Had it into the local dealer who did a computer upgrade to do with the oil pressure going to the timing and other chains, but that hasn't fixed it. could it be the air suspention pump engaging?
I would appreciate any ideas

I bought my 2014 A8L 3.0TDI in May. It never clattered like a diesel. After about 4000 miles of ownership I noticed that during start up I would get the traditional diesel clatter. Then I noticed upon 1st acceleration the diesel clatter was still there. Again never had any diesel clatter until about 40K miles on the odometer. A few days ago I put a can of Liqui Moly diesel additive #2002 and all the clattering is gone....All of it. Got it on Amazon it is about 6 bux a can and you put it in about every 1200 mi or so. Sorry to dig up an old thread and it is probably something every TDI owner already knows about but I am a 1st time diesel owner and thought it was a good find so this is for those other first time diesel guys that have the diesel clatter.
