Wifey MoonLight Blue SQ5 w/ first Mod.
Got rid of her 2014 in the morning on Saturday. And pickup her 2018 SQ5 in the afternoon.
She wanted a Moonlight Blue and it looks great. The GM found Prestige Fully Loaded with Black Nappa. Too bad he did not find a Red Interior.
Got the first mod done . Took off my spacers from the 2014 SQ5 and fitted into the new. World of difference. F12mm/R20mm from ECStuning
And because it is a leased car.
You can never have enough Power. Mod #2 is on the way from Dtuk tuning box. More on that later once I get it.

Ur right. The funny part my wife is a pretty quick driver. I have spoil her when I got her a R63 AMG. then after was her 2 RR Evoque. (Too Slow , but small and fun) until I purchase my Focus RS. and I gave her my semi-tuned 2014 SQ5.
This move to new 2018 was lower payment then my 2014. and she say F-it , It was no brainer.

no it won't... You have to remove it before going in.
I had chipwerke on my 2014 SQ5. no problem. Actually on the last visit my wife made the appointment and I did not know and did not removed it. I pick up car. they did not say anything to me and the paperwork states nothing. But I don't care about it, since it is sold now. LOL

I was under the impression (from a VW employee on VW GTI forums) that even if you remove a mod it shows up as a flag and there's no way around it. Here's the link Warranty 101: Warranty and You - TD1, recalls, updates, Magnuson Moss, etc... - GOLFMK7 - VW GTI MKVII Forum / VW Golf R Forum / VW Golf MKVII Forum
I was talking to a colleague at the office today about this. He just bought a Golf GTI and mentioned something about a permanent flag (it's actually a flipped bit in a payload dump when your vehicle is scanned) that will give the dealership a clear indication that you've tuned.

There is a difference been a tune and a piggyback (like the Dtuk). The piggyback spoofs the ECM that the boost pressures are lower than normal, so it will allow more boost. There is nothing in the ECM that can detect that you have a piggyback since it looks like normal operation.
