Default Potholes
Considering buying 2018 Q5-prestige. Concerned that 20 inch wheels won't survive NYC potholes. Any thoughts?

I can't give you a definitive answer, but doing the NYC/NE NJ commute, I would never get the larger wheels/tires. Just too may potholes - visible and unseen to take the chance. Also, ride quality is affected.If I lived elsewhere, I may reconsider, but just way too chancy for my taste.

Nothing can survive some of those potholes!

But, I've got 20" rims on my 2014 SQ5, and they have held up well to date.

No issues with my 20" wheels but during the winter i run an 18" winter set up.

I've had 20 in wheels for over 5 years now on my Q5s. Never had an issue.

I know you have Pot-heads in San Fran...But, do you have pot-holes, too?
