2018 A4 Quatro Ultra Drive
I haven't been able to determine if the 2018 A4 has the Quattro Ultra Drive or not.
It is said that the Quattro Ultra Drive improves highway mileage by 5% and since the 2017 A4 is rated at 31 mpg and the 2018 is rated at 34 mpg that may imply that the Quattro Ultra drive is included with the 2018 A4. (That's a bit more that 5%, so if its not the Ultra drive, why the improvement?)
But, nobody seems to know for sure.
Anybody out there know? And what is the source for your information?
Just curious.

Look for "GH4" in your option code matrix. That means quattro with ultra technology. At least, that code is listed when specifying a car online so I expect it to show up in the matrix.

Also, make sure you're not confusing A4 Ultra (b-cycle Engine) and Quattro with Ultra.
Big difference.
A4 Ultras are NOT Quattro equipped - FWD only. Ironically, the 186hp 2.0lt A3FWD model also shares this (b-cycle) technology, but Audi doesn't call it an A3 Ultra.....just A3.
The Quattro A3 gets the more powerful 2.0l motor, sans Miller (b-cycle) technology.
Allroads, A4 Manuals, and Q5's are Quattro with Ultra equipped, which provides a multi-plate clutch to disconnect the rear drive shaft and axle from the driveline, until the system detects a need for AWD.
In Audi-speak, "Ultra" is synonymous with "fuel efficiency", but these two forms of Ultra Tech, are very different in execution.
Confused? Me too.....
