I have a new S5 SB with Opticoat Pro+, and I am looking for a touchless carwash in the Greater Boston area. Also, does the Opticoat product from the soaps used in this type of car wash?

My understanding is that only abrasion (brushes, clay bar, sanding, etc) effects ceramic coating. Not chemicals.

Touch free is the way I go usually. If I have time or the weather is nice, I'll sometimes use a 'do it yourself' car wash bay.

I have no recommendations in the Boston area, but there are usually touch free car washes in most towns. I'm in central MA, myself.

I normally just use the wash with the least amount of coatings that still gives me blow dry and undercarriage wash. The chemical really shouldn't bother the coating but the extra spray was isn't needed anyway so save a few bucks.

being from mass originally I would recommend the laser wash or any equivalent. its not really thorough but there wont be any scratches either. you may find though that you dont like the result because as I said the wash isnt thorough. youll see streaks and some winter/spring type detritus that wont come completely off.

One thing to remember when it comes to washing a car at a touchless carwash is to NEVER dry it with any kind of towel/touching of the car without added lubrication (not saying you do, just my two cents). As a few have said, the touchless car washes don't completely remove all the dirt and grim from your car and by "drying" it with a towel you'll had fine scratches all over the paint job by pushing that leftover dirt and grim around.

If I need to wash my car at a touchless carwash, I'll have some kind of quick detailer spray in my trunk and give it a quick spray and then towel dry it. Otherwise just leave the car alone after a touchless car wash and wait until you can properly hand wash it.

Route 1 car wash saugus - Route 1 Car Wash is the best one.

Flo's auto bath in wakefield and Barn car wash in saugus (rte1 going north) are both inferior touchles systems but touchless nonetheless

All of these washes require you to dry the car mostly yourself as their drying systems kind of suck.
