Default EPC Light On

My AUDI Q5 2011 model has the epc lights on while am driving. Took it to a mechanic for diagnosis and error was timimg kit. New timing kit and crankshaft were installed but on testing the lights still come on. Please advise how the problem can be solved.

adanow the new timing kit I get but I assume you mean "camshaft" not crankshaft ? If they replaced a cam that's quite unusual.and a crankshaft much more unusual.

Thanks for the response. I am not sure if it’s camshaft. We are testing the car again tomorrow after oil was cleaned out and flushing oil applied to the engine. Will give feedback on the exact parts replaced. Thought it was crankshaft.

Was it a crankshaft timing sensor?

Confirmed, cam shift sensor was changed. EPC light still keeps coming though there is no loss of acceleration power like before. Mechanic says he will recheck timing kit again. If problem persists after that he says he will change the oil pump. Any comments?

My first Audi SQ5 had this problem right of the lot with 15 miles on it. Long story short - AOA paid to dismantle pretty much the full engine (4 weeks) to find out the the timing between the vaults was not synced and that created a shaky ride, not full power etc. In the end Audi of America replaced it for me with a new identical car. Also, I went through a Audi shop to fix the problem. Hope you figure out what is going on with your car.
