SQ5 Transmission Rough Shifting?
Anyone else experience jerky/rough up and down shifts? My 2017 A3 shifts much smoother than my 2018 SQ5 and its somewhat annoying. I have it set in comfort mode and still not impressed.

Haven’t had an issue - where are you located? Maybe someone in that area would let you compare...

Yes, I get them when the car shifts into 2nd gear I think, and it’s very intermittent. Maybe once an hour? Not easily reproduced. Maybe it is downshifting too early on occasion? But the jolt is noticeable.
Im not bringing it in at this point but will mention it if I do.

That's an artifact of the ZF8 speed. I have the same tranny in my BMW 340, and both vehicles act the same. Seems to be a shift flare in the 3-2 or 2-1 shift under certain load conditions (or the lockup converted is being engaged?) It's only noticeable under certain load conditions though.

I have thought that it was due to my occasional use of the paddles to downshift to a stop. Perhaps it learned something, but when your not doing it, it’s sudden and a jerk. Would be fine if I was expecting it.
While I would never get a manual in a truck, I miss it for sure.
