Default Windshield Sun Shade Recommendations?

I've got a ragged "hoop" style sun shade I've been using for about a decade. It's time to retire it. I've seen fancy ones from weathertech but before I go dropping $, I'd like to see what you all have for your Q5.

I went with the OEM from Audi not cheap $65 but it fits like a glove, came with a storage bag. A lot nicer than any others I have used in the past.

Ever consider a clear ceramic tint? Airblue 80 and 3m crystalline are great, near invisible options

Weathertech is nice, the fit is extremely tight which is what you paid for. However it takes some finagling to get in, and rolling it up everytime is a PITA esp if you have a passenger as there is no way to do it without having the shade up against the passenger side. Would go with a folding sunshade if available.

Do you happen to have the part number of this?

I really like the quality/thickness of the OEM shade. Takes some learning to get it fit each time but gets easier. The downside seems to be that every time I use it on a hot day I end up with that plaque/fog on the inside window. Getting quite annoying, hoping it stops at some point.

I have the WeatherTech and it works great. Agree with earlier post that it does take a little bit of "wrangling" but they all do. Once you use it few times, and remember the proper direct to roll it up, it becomes 2nd nature. I didn't get the add-on storage bag as that just seemed like an extra step. Just roll it up, secure with Velcro, and drop it on the floor in back. It is already hot here (90+F) and seems to work great!

The fit is perfect, far better than any off-the-shelf shade you will find.

Not tried the Audi OEM, so can't speak to that. Just went with the W/T immediately as I've used their product for other vehicles. Just got the trunk liner for our A5 Cab and the fit is perfect as well.

Hope that helps

I'm going to get one of these as they are easy to store in the netting behind the passenger seat.
