Rattling/squeaking sound in top passenger rear seat corner
anyone find the solution to Rattling/squeaking sound in top passenger rear seat corner originally posted june 2016 by lain concerning the rubbing noise from the rear passenger area Mk3 tt

My rattling/squeaking from the rear area actually turned out to not be the seats but rather an unequal adjustment of the lift back bump stops. Once I lengthened the passenger side stop by unscrewing it a bit all was well. May not be your issue but worth trying. I believe I posted photo's in the thread you referenced.
