Default Is this a good deal or potential problem?

Hi guys, I’m in the market for an s3 and found this blue 15’ prestige for 29k with 29k miles, however the carfax looks a little suspect.. any thoughts on this? Is this a pass? Thanks

Doesn't seem like a bad deal to me. Fairly low miles. I don't see any major bodywork done. I'm not sure what that "airbag clockspring/reel replaced" thing is about though. It happened twice too. I wonder if there's an electrical malfunction that caused this to be required. I would investigate that if I were you. Other than that I don't see anything major. I do wonder why the door handle and lock cylinder was replaced though. Wonder if it was broken into.

Too many issues in too short a time for me - I would take a pass. It seems it had some pretty hard use in a fairly short time.

I'd pass on this one. Door handles and lock cylinders replaced twice. Turn signal switch replaced twice. And the Airbag thing replaced three times. I would look for something else.

I haven't heard of any widespread problems with the airbags, but the door handles I guess for '15s have had issues when wet. Moisture builds up between the handle and the sensor so the comfort access open doesn't work. I had mine replaced--there's a service bulletin for it. Wasn't too big of a deal but kind of a pain when you're dashing to your car in the rain and then have to fumble for your fob. Maybe the first time it was fixed they didn't know what the problem was and replaced it with the old OEM handles instead of the new ones? Maybe they just did one at a time? The door handles probably aren't a big deal.
