Default Replace spare or keep?

Good day all. Had a tire fail yesterday on the way to work. Lost pressure due to a cut that I did not see on the inside edge. I recall running over something last Saturday, but did not think much of it as the pressure held.
Anyway, threw on the spare donut and ordered the replacement. Less than 3k on the set, so it looks ok to replace just the one.
The miles driven on the spare is close to 50. Audi tells me that I should not go over that. So do I now replace the spare also, or is that because of the difference in rotation/diameter between the spare and stock wheels (with the quattro system)?
Used a calculator to check difference between the tires, stock = 746.38 rev/mil, while spare = 750.89 rev/mil. Maybe it is close enough to not make that much difference for the distance.

I would not worry about it and keep the spare.

I think the 50 miles guideline is per occurrence not the life of the spare. Using the donut for more a lengthy time is not good for the car.

The spare tire has tread indicators like any normal tire and should be good for several thousand miles, unless it is old (>5 years) and should be replaced since they dry out, which is also like normal tires.

Perhaps they're confused with the speed rating of 50MPH? Either they're idiots or they're trying to rob you.
