Default MY2019 — no more manual?

I just had a chance to try an A4 manual today. The local dealer got one in and was nice to give me call and allow me to drive it. I loved it. The clutch was super soft and the shifting was notchy. Compared to that, my BMW’s clutch feels heavy and the shifting is rubbery.

However the color is not to my preference. When I asked about ordering I was told they are not accepting orders for MY2018 and the manual is being dropped altogether for the A4 moving forward. Has anyone else heard the same thing?

Thanks.

Not too surprising, but sad nonetheless. So glad I got the '18 6MT then.

Since there is no MY19 order guide yet, I don't think we can definitively say the manual is gone.

The local dealer claimed that they had the MY2019 order guide and that MT was not an option. Have none of the other dealers gotten it?

If you can live with the color of the one you drove, I'd go for it.

Ask for a copy of it and share it with us!

White would be my preference. Car is Monsoon Gray which is a bit dark for my liking. The interior was black which is also not my preference but I can live with that. The car had black optic. I am not a fan of that, but I could probably live with it on a white car esp given that it comes with a perforated flat bottom steering.

After sleeping over it, my thinking is to pass on this one.

Ask the dealer to do a search for other manual transmission A4s in their area, and perhaps they can do a dealer trade for one that fits your preferences.

They did that search and they came up with zero.

!!!!
I recently got my wife a 2018 Audi A4 (with auto), and as a first-time Audi owner I was pretty impressed with it. So much so that I was thinking of getting an Audi TT for myself. But when I found that Audi doesn't offer a manual transmission for it, my enthusiasm for it sort of took a drop.
