Default Anyone planning to keep their S5 SBs for at least 6 years or more?

Hello everyone,

As title states above, I was wondering if anyone was planning to keep their car for at least 6 or more years. I'm currently leasing my sportback but planning to pay off the car at lease-end. Thank you!

I'm certainly not. Great car, but it's not perfect. Plus, I would want a refresh before I consider a German car reliable enough to keep. Just my opinion.

I usually keep my cars 7-10 years, so hope to do so here as well but we shall see, first German car for me. Honda and Lexus were kind of great reliability wise, got 80k extended coverage on the S5 but worried how it will hold up in the long run. Fingers crossed.

Much like SD Nardo & hevnsnt, I keep my cars for 10 + years — my last car was a 2006 Acura RSX with 126,000 miles on it now. As long as my S5 is reliable, my plan is to keep it long-term . . . unless the next gen RS5 keeps whispering its name in my ear.

This car combines many of the virtues of the only two cars I've kept for 6 years: a 1980 Corolla SR5 Liftback (versatility) and a 2001 E46 M3 (balanced handling and power). If - and this is by no means certain - BMW does a gran coupe M440i or M4 on the G20/G80 chassis I'm a goner. Otherwise I could drive this car until it dies.

We also keep cars for 10+ years, and plan to do so with the S5. Unless my knees give out climbing in and out. I'm not particularly worried about reliability (knock on wood). The wife had a Passat for 10 years and is 5 1/2 into an A6. Few issues on the Passat and none on the A6.

I have it on lease but plan on buying it out at the end so I got the extended warranty for 7 years. If I start seeing things goes wrong at the 6 years mark, I'll probably sell it so the buyer would still have one year of extended warranty left. If nothing major goes out, i'll probably keep it.

Not even close to it. I am too scared about the reliability of it long term. Maybe not so much the reliability as the repair costs. I will keep it for about 3 years.

I've seen plenty of older Audis on the road, so I think the odds are at least in favor of keep it past the 80k mile warranty.
