Default Long drive today

Drove the A5 today for a nice 4 hr drive (2 each way).. drives nice.. cruises 75 at about 1600 RPMs.. got almost 33 MPG.. thought that was pretty nice. Nice to have a little power when ya need it but yet still sip the gas.

on a different subject.. also bought some CquartzUK3.0 and carpro Essence (pre cquartz) and ess naw plus (post cquartz) for my volvo (silver). If that turns out nice, I will do the Audi myself..

Yeah, I have two 1000 round mile trips on my A5 (Denver to ABQ and Denver to Kansas City).

The A5 SB is a consummate highway touring machine; more than enough power, uber comfortable, and stingy on fuel consumption...

+1, and you really appreciate that ACC after just one long highway road trip!

i don’t know if i like it controlling my steering wheel yet... I think it steal needs some refining... seems a little choppy.. it’s better when ACC set to comfort. For me I feel like I’m fighting it a lot because I tend to drive more to the left of the lane. I wish a lane warning would work without the steering control. I love adaptive cruise control though

You are talking about the Lane Assist - you don't have to use the ALA with the ACC. I just run the ACC by itself and leave the ALA turned off.

uuuugh.. this isn’t my daily driver, i bought it for the wife. I ask her about all this shtuff and I get the shoulder shrug.. lol

whats the ACC then.. adaptive cruise? I do love that.. I have that in my volvo as well

and yes, still not a fan of lane assist.. I still need to use it to get used to it, but unsure about the likability for me

I had to drive up to northern VT yesterday and put on 360 miles averaging a calculated 29.4 MPG on a very hilly ride in my S5. I am very impressed with the comfort of this car too on the long drive. I turned on ACC and lane assist and relaxed. After 2 1/2 hours each way I felt great.

I drove from CT to NJ and back Saturday evening for a 50th anniversary party. 2.5 hours each way. Highway + back country roads. What an enjoyable drive that was!
Averaged almost 35 mpg.
