Default TO XPEL TRACWRAP OR NOT?

Will be driving my brand new TT RS from Oregon to California. Prior to getting the PPF applied in CA, will need to make the commute. Is getting a tracwrap prior to the commute from OR to CA worth it or will the shop applying the PPF be able to clean and repair prior the application of the permanent PPF? Don't want to spend money if not needed, but want to make sure the car will be protected or at least in good shape upon arrival to CA. Yes, I know the answer is dependable how I drive and of course being brand new I will be driving conservatively, but thought I would ask the forum.

Thank you

It is an awesome look!

And you get a free cat toy at the end of your drive.

BUT...I’d look into Track Armour, too.

I just drove my new car 80 miles to have PPF done, and picked up a hood chip on the way. Ug.

I should have at least done the painters tape. Live and learn

it is a common problem that I honestly was not prepared for. I just had my hood repainted because there were so many small chips on the hood. I have received some not so glowing reviews about Xpel from a body shop. My hood looks new right now but I really want to get something more to protect it. Awesome red rocker. Good choice.

Can't imagine why your body shop would not be up with Xpel Ultimate. It's the best film available hands down. In six years for me not one single rock chip.

6 years??? that is super impressive. Maybe my area is behind the times a little. I am in a small town. the shop does great work but I doubt they get many cars like this in. My TTS is the only one in town. I have only noticed a few around the Western kentucky area anywhere. we have an Xpel installer in bowling green Ky. I may check it out. 6 years is a great review.
