Default Buying my 1st A4

Hi All,

I am brand new to this discussion forum since I finally decided last night (after months of thought on Audi v BMW) to go with an A4. I know the new 2019 model comes with a tons of great options like virtual cockpit, cockpit color changing, traffic/brake assist etc. I'm not looking to buy brand new so was wondering if the majority of these features can be found on any 2018 models. Any guidance on this as well as what price I should look to pay would be great.

Thanks

If your are looking to buy used, I would say you are going to have a really hard time finding exactly what you are looking for. The Prestige models are hard to come by new, so they will be even harder to find one that is only one year old. Also, since a 2018 used will be priced very close to a new 2018 still in stock, you might want to do a dealer search to see if there is a new 2018 in stock somewhere that you would be interested in buying.

Based on your wants, you are looking for a Prestige model. Try looking for a dealer loaner that's been certified. Might be tough. Most of the of the dealer fleets are P+ cars as opposed to Prestige.
Audi has an inventory search function on their website. Maybe give that a whirl.

The B9 A4 was introduced as a 2017 model year and includes all of the features you mention in your earlier post. Appearance wise and technology wise, the 2017 and 2018 A4 are identical, of course depending on the trim level you choose. The only thing new for the 2019 model year is a minor face lift which affects the exterior appearance of the vehicle.

The features you are looking for are all standard on Prestige options, so look around for CPO 2017-2018 Prestige A4s if you are not looking to purchase one new.

Let's ask the first question - what country are you in? Equipment levels vary widely across countries.

Secondly, the 'B9' generation car has been the same since 2017 (in North America) and... 2016? elsewhere. Not a lot of changes in the 2019 model.

First off, the A4 is a great car, you will love it. I just traded mine for a different Audi model, but I will always love the A4. Mine was a Premium Plus. That was the only thing I grew disappointed in. I should have bought a loaded Prestige and would recommend that to you. When you have an Audi, the extras that come with the Prestige package are just a lot of fun and well worth it. I’d have gotten the Driving Assist Package too, with adoptive cruise, and lane keeping. I loved the heated seats and steering wheel. I would stay with the 18 inch tires, the bigger tires mess up the ride a little. I would not get the sport package, again the sport suspension was just too harsh for normal driving. Other than that you should be able to find a used 2018 or 2017 easier than a new 2018, at least that’s the way it seems around here. Then just have fun. That car is a little rocket and just great in traffic, but on the open road it also has a great ride.

Default Thank you - purchase made

thank you all for the great input. I was able to track down a 2018 A4 Quattro Premium+ w 8k miles on it. I drove a 3 series before just to be sure and once I sat in it I knew iit was the right call. I don’t know anything about maintenance or servicing. Any advice on service requency or in general would be awesome!

thanks!
