LED Fog Lights
Hello, I have a 2009 S5 and I am looking to upgrade the fog lights to led so it matches the day time running lights. I was wondering if anyone has done this and if so, what bulb they used and how its been working for them.

I used these from a non-vendor - R2 COB H11 H8 H9 H16 8000LM LED Headlight Conversion Kit, Low beam headlamp, Fog Driving Light, HID or Halogen Head light Replacement, 6500K Xenon White for like 40 bucks for the bulbs.
Look up a post I made about 3 weeks ago (page 3) and you can see the after pics.

I did not have any problems with them at all. Just pop out the fog light grille and unscrew the 2 screws and unplug the old h11 bulb and replace it with the new LED one. Just make sure you test it before you put it together because they are polarity sensitive. They look awesome and for only $40 it's a no brainer. I did not have any codes come up on the dash. I have no complaints as of right now, but I will post any issues I have with them.

Yes, I bought them on amazon as well. They are much brighter than OEM, and are they same color as the LED's lights on the headlights, a nice crisp white. Much better than the yellow OEM ones.

Could you guys post links to your LED fog lights?
I've been using 50W 5500k HID's for a few year now and I've already cooked one of the ballasts. Reason being is the short duration they were exposed to when the turning feature would enable either side. The ballasts were not being allowed to fully warm up / energize for that turning feature. The colour match to the DRL's aspect is secondary to my needs. I live in the country and do mostly highway driving so optimum lumen output is my primary concern.
What I'm trying to say is - are LED's going to be brighter and produce more down the road illumination then my HID's?
