Hi folks - I have a 2013 A4 quattro sedan. It will soon hit 45k. Not a lot of miles to be sure. However it's already had a wheel bearing replaced and the u-joint stiffed up a few months ago. For the U-joint, my mechanic greased it up for $70 and that 'fixed' it. Better than the $600-800 repair job the dealership wanted for it. In the next few weeks I will have to replace the rear rotors and pads and get a oil change. I also want them to flush the brake lines. Besides this and checking for usual wear and tear (leaks, belts, seals, etc), anything else you can think of to check at this point or to check/replace for preventative service? For it's age, it's relatively low mileage and should be good mechanically for some time to come. But a bad wheel bearing so 'young' and tired U-joint make me more cautious.

How much extra would that add $$?

Mine was $289 out the door, a pan drop w/filter and rear diff @AAMCO of south Tampa.
