Removing bumper with the car on the ground
Hi guys, if someone needs to remove the bumper it is possible to do it with the car on the floor.
If needed check the video
This is a tweak on "Total technik" original video

Possible, but easier with the wheels off. The front edge of the fender liner will be harder to fold back with the wheels on. Screws and nuts on each side are hidden behind the liner and will also be harder to access with wheels on..

I did it like this .
Push headlights out of the way .
Unscrew 3 bolts that secure the bumper on each side.
Remove 2 screws on the fender liner that screw on to the bumper
Push the bumper out
Go for a beer (important step)

very good. I wonder if the timing belt, water pump, etc is easier with the car lower. Worst part of the job for me is a sore back. I guess that's why folks swing the radiator out of the way, so you can sit on a stool and do the work.

I did it without removing the wheels, I removed most of the engine compartment, fenders and side skirts without removing the wheels. I just rotated the wheels so they would be out of my way with the steering wheel.

You will find most things should be easier with German made cars. I had a Ford Taurus and it was significantly easier than my Audi and BMW when it comes to removal, such as on my e60 BMW you are supposed to remove the bumper before taking out headlights and I forgot this when putting my car back together and broke one of the brackets on one of my headlights trying to install it after putting bumper back on, realized my mistake and removed the bumper again then nstalled headlights before putting bumper back on again.
