Audi connect and Tmobile SIM
Hi,
Does anyone know if you can replace the AT&T SIM in Q7's (would be a 2019 but I assume it is same as 2017/2018) with a T-Mobile SIM in US? I've seen articles that tells you how but they also note that not all features work, so I am wondering if that's different now?
Thanks,

You can do it, however this will only work for in car hotspot, it will not work for MMI Google Maps or INRIX traffic (these services are going through built in SIM - non-removable).

So what exactly would this allow you to do then? I assume nothing more than connecting to the internet through the car’s WiFi network, which is mostly useful for devices like iPads that lack cell plans. Is that all?

Even that would be good scenario for me since I can put my TMobile digits sim there and provide wifi to my kids tablet.

Sorry for posting in multiple topics but hoping one gets a helpful reply....
Just started trying a T-mobile SIM (much less expensive than AT&T) in my 2016 Q3. Works with everything, but when I first start the car, no Audi Connect or Voice destinations until everything has booted and I release the SIM and reinsert it. Then all is good.
It is one of those combo SIM's. Do you think that could be the problem and a full size sim only would solve this issue? Does T-mobeile even have those?
If not, any other ideas? The AT&T SIM always worked 100% of the time flawlessly.
Thanks!
