Default FASTTRS with privacy glass

I finally got privacy glass for my 2018 TT RS. He is a link to a Google photos album in case the pics aren't visible. There is also a movie in the Google album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/5bxyLuA4gF4SvfEc6

Are these ordered thru Audi or where did you source the glass from...?

Nice! Any tint on the front windows (light tint) or just factory? Was the privacy glass part of your customized order from the factory?

Front is all stock still.

As for acquisition, Audi has no North American way of getting the glass, so I had to ship it over from Europe and then have my local glass shop install it. The shipping cost about the same as the parts, but I'm glad I did it. There is no line around the edges where film can't be placed, and I never have to worry about defects. The appearance is super clean.

Assume you live in a state which has no heartburn with blacked out windows?

California. It's fine to have whatever I want behind the driver as long as I have side mirrors (a rear windshield is not even required - could be solid metal). The front windows have fairly severe restrictions, however, and the windshield of course cannot accept any tint except for a band along the top edge. The privacy glass is all behind the driver.

The glass was purchased from an Audi dealer in England. I don't want to be specific because I don't want to get anyone in trouble (Audi seems very firm in not wanting that glass in North America).

The glass costs the same as any other widow/windshield replacement, but shipping is very expensive because it needs to have a shipping crate built custom for it + I insured my shipment for cost of glass+cost of shipping. The shipping costs the same as the glass or more, depending on your luck.

It might be cheaper getting it from a non-England company because England-to-USA shipping rates are actually very expensive.

Total cost for parts, crate, shipping, and install was a little under $2k.
