Default TT Four Door?

https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/audi/t...hCNpE8PnVTWrzE

No no no no nooooo!

(Only positive... "Plug-in hybrid technology will play a key role as well, as will the option of a fully electric model. Both of these will be a part of Audi’s plan to have 20 electrified vehicles on sale by 2025")

Nothing to see - go back to your lives.

“TT Off-road” concept that may become the Q4. Been following it for quite some time but no further insight.

First time I’ve seen mention of a 4-door TT however. If it had rear suicide doors like the Mazda RX-8 perhaps some interest but as shown i’ll pass.

If replacement is really the play, I’ll be very interested in the final year TTRS. Coming from a Miata, I already think my TT is a little hoggish. No way I want a bigger TT.

As shown, A4:A8 as TT:A7, right?

I like the concept as presented in the Auto Express article; however, I don't like the idea of a TT that becomes 11" longer. I'll wait and see before registering my vote.

Indeed! Audi's somewhat-version of the Porsche Panamera (similarly stretched 911)? I don't get too excited by Auto Express anyway as they tend to speculate more than most.

But I continue to be intrigued by the potential Q4, if it closely follows the concept.

It would be a bad play to turn the TT/S/RS into something virtually indistinguishable from the rest of the Audi lineup, IMO. Personally, two main selling points for me with the TTRS were how much different it looked from the rest of the Audi lineup and how much it reminded me of the R8. And yeah, I feel like the driving dynamics of the car would change quite a bit by stretching the wheelbase enough to get a functional second row of seats.

No thanks. It would probably help the resale of the Mk3 platform, though.

Eliminate rear seats, go mid engined (small) plus hybrid and quattro is an opposite direction that I'd rather see them go (maybe shared platform with Cayman). This seems a redundant direction when the S5 exists and an A3 coupe or sportback could fit the smaller niche.
