New Tires
At ~31,000 mi I had a tire blowout this morning. Complete separation of tread to tire wall on back right tire. My OEM tires were the Michelin Latitude Sport 3. Im looking at the Micheline Pilot Sport A/S 3+ to replace all 4.
Has anyone else changed tires yet and what did you go with? Warm weather area, not needing snow tires or anything. Also see the picture of the spare, in case anyone didn't realize it must be inflated before use (seems to work fine so far, about 50mi in)!

I changed out at 500 miles because I didn't want the Continentals mine came with. I chose the same Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ and are very happy with them. They're off for the winter but I have ~7k on them.

You should be happy with the A/S 3+'s. They have a much nicer ride and quieter than a lot of other tires (my Pirelli's and Continentals have a lot of road noise). The A/S 3's will give you a lot better handling. Over the years, I've used many different Michelin tires and have always been pleased.
My latest BMW came with the Bridgestone Potenza S001 (pure summer tire). It has a lot more tread depth than other sport tires, great ride, quiet and decent life. Just not great if the weather is dipping close to freezing.

I also have MPS AS3+ and I'm happy with them for a 3 season tire. However they do growl a bit, at least more than the Pirelli Scorpion Winters I have on now. I've seen others notice this too. It's not a huge issue, but when time comes to replace them I might consider the equivalent Pirelli (P Zero AS?) which are rated well by users also.

Not sure if it was a feature of the tire or I got very lucky bit I was surprised that there was no rim damage. It appears to have ridden the sidewall of the tire. I was on a highway and took approx 50-100 yds to come to a stop and get over.

Thank you all. Michelins it is, only $123 more than the BFGoodrich. Not getting Continentals as I have rarely been happy with their tires, and most ppl seem to consider the Michelins better. (Also Costco doesn't carry Continental, and I want to have their great warranty).
