Default Puddle under my garaged 2006 TT Roadster

I live in the northeast and have rented a garage to keep my car for the winter months. I garaged it late November and went to start it yesterday afternoon for the first time. The battery is new and was replaced last summer so I thought it would hold a charge for a few months, when I opened the garage door the first thing I saw was a puddle of water like liquid that looks like it came from under the front middle of the car and ran to the side, the battery also seems to be dead, it would not start and the horn wouldnt blow...any ideas what the fluid could be? it is clear in some areas and a light brown in another area where it pooled...

Cars with ECU's draw 20-30 mA while sitting.so you are lucky to get a month out of a typical starting battery before the car won't start. You need a battery tender/float charger for "winter storage".

Agreed on the battery. I crank my roadster and charge it every couple of weeks. Your liquid is likely coolant. See if it is slippery and smells sweet like antifreeze. It actually should be pinkish purplish but old coolant can be brownish. This first place to check for a coolant leak is the coolant flange. It is at the transmission end of the engine above the bellhousing. Look for a damp place on top of the transmission. After that, next most likely is the thermostat housing, front of engine low near the alternator. Lots of other possibilities though including the after run cooling pump. One just has to look around. Pressurizing the radiator helps.
Good luck!
