Default Audi Pre Sense Rear false activation

I have come to the conclusion that Audi gets freaked out when you back up too fast. For example, this just happened to me backing into my driveway. The rear right section of the camera flashed and Pre Sense stopped my car. It's not the first time it's happened. I like to back in fast but these false events are getting old and irritating. I've been conditioned to just keep going once the car stopped since so far 100% of the time it's false. God forbids if a real child is behind me. Talking about crying wolf.

It doesnt look like you were going that fast, did the sensors pick up the curb? I had that happened to me once when I was parallel parking.

Looks like it’s seeing the fast approaching curb (edge) and intervening. I would say your days of,”backing too fast” are over. .

Could try changing your Pre sense setting to.”late.”

It could be, maybe the combination of speed, the slight incline and the curb was enough for the system to think it's an imminent collision.

I had it do the same when a Garbage can was next to my path but not in my path while backing up. I guess they (AUDI) believe it is better sage than sorry.

It's the curb. Every time I go to the local gas station and am reversing into position, pre-sense kicks in and stops the car because it sees the stupid slightly elevated gas tank covers (where the gas delivery trucks pump fuel) on the ground as an obstacle. Very annoying.

...try to touch slightly the brake pedal while backing up and pre-sense won’t intervene.

Not true. I had my foot on the brake when it happened, as indicated by the brake light...
