Help....Battery continue drain
Hello friends, I own 2011 Q5 sline automatic diesel.
Recently, parking light in cluster sometimes stays on even after key locked (normally it should be turned off few second after key locked).
This cause battery drain and I faced flat battery before I recognized this issue.
Now I recoginze this issue so if the parking light cannot be turned off even after key locked, I always start engine and drive few mile then check again.
Sometimes it works and sometimes not.
In worst case, I have to try several times.
Anyone face this issue? If so, what is solution?
Thanks for your help!

Please SW slipring/clock spring vcds scan. There is similar issue with acc and power drain?? Only latest slipring firmware solves this issue. Could be something else but worths the shot of checking.
Out of memory; mine takes about 30-45 seconds to shut external light. There is also a setting on car setting to disable this. I cannot test this because I am sick in bed.
Coming home leaving home and lights on auto. Something like that. Turning auto to off you disable this feature also.

Thanks, apoelistas.
The check means in dealer or by standard OBD tools?
Initially I tried to change this setting by setting menu but I cannot find any but this needs SW update as you suggested?
Thanks!

If your slipring is 8K0953568M and came with lower firmware than 0005 then you have to update to 0005.
with VCDs you would know.
