It's a decent entry to a non-luxury midsize SUV market, but it's biggest weakness if it wants to punch above its weight competition-wise is limited low-end torque in a US-proposed V6. A turbo-or-super charged entry would make it a player.

It may be like the Cadillac XT5 I rented for 2 weeks last year. If I opened the back door, then the front, it would alert me to check the back seat when I shut it off. Fortunately I was able to disable it.
