My Q5 09 Electronic Control Module adaptation drop down list did not have the comfort turn signals selection . So I dont know the adaptation channel or even if it works with my Q5.
No this did not work with my Q5. Not sure if your drop list has a comfort turn signal selection either.

Also check if you have such coding. Mine still does not exist.
46/Control Module System Comfort > Adaptation > Turn Signal Control: Freeway flashing cycles > 5 (old value 3)

On my Q5 it is as follows, but this is just how to enable/activate the 3 blinks comfort operation. (similar to coding I suppose).
Go to 046 Comfort Unit, Adaptations.
Under Personalization key1 key 2 Key 3 etc +32768 to your current stored value. Mine was already included.
Here is my VCDs scan of an unused key. I changed that value to 55264, as per my Personalization Key 2.
+32+64+128+256+512+1024+4096+16384+32768 = 55264
old value: 32+64+4096+32768=36960
Did this help??
Now to the test. When I do a brief left turn touch, it only flashes 3 times. The feature is enabled but I dont know how to change the 3 blinks to 5.

Ross tech (sebastian) says that changing blinks from 3 to 5 is impossible with 2009 B8s (from a forum). Probably there is a hardware limitation (not sure about this because I have changed my Comfort unit at dealer in 2017).

09 control unit adaptations I have tested and there is none that control the blinks.

Lets move to 046 adaptations/adaptions

The adaption channels of comfort unit 046 with value 3 are the following: (security code 16017)
95
192
214
Please keep us informed if by changing any of the above to value 5 activates the 5 blink instead.
To sum up.
We know how to activate the comfort 3 blinks. (see above)
You have 3 proposed channels to test. Would be nice if you ask Ross Tech if any of the 3 channels above would control the number of blinks.
Cannot test more than this. Good luck.

That will not get you far. It is a dead end. Ross tech does not have an answer and that adaptation does not exist.

The only answer there is is the following:
This is controlled via Comfort unit 046 for key personalization in adaptation channels.
The value 32768 stands for the highway comfort turn signals. If there is a value> = 32768 the highway blink is switched on, if there is a smaller one then it is switched off . On means flashing 3 times, Off means flashing once.

Good luck.
