Default Question for you...

So I am just toying around with the idea of blacking out my window chrome on my A5. I took some black tape that I had at the house and blacked out my passenger side chrome. All opinions on which you prefer would be much appreciated. Thanks!

That looks good, in fact you just convinced me to do mine. It's been on the bottom of my list which I am fast approaching. Time for me to get a quote from a reputable body shop to remove, paint, and replace the window trim. I am not too keen on other methods I have seen or heard. Perhaps when I get the quote I'll feel differently.

Black out, for sure....

Can your wheels be far behind?

The chrome window trims gives the car more contrast and matches the rim. If you just want to be different, then tape the trims.

I think the chrome looks better on the black vehicle if you're going to keep the chrome wheels. If you are going for a full blackout including the wheels then I think the blacked out window trim looks better.

The stock chrome looks best on the car as it sits today. But I can see where you might be headed...

The chrome accentuates the elegant curves of the body and greenhouse, as well as pulls in the color of the wheels. I much prefer it stock. More harmonious.

I'm with the pro-chrome people. It breaks up the shape a bit, which is just a big plane of amorphous black without it.
