Default Replaced front shock, now having lifting issues

My front left shock went bad. When starting the car the compressor would turn on and raise the front to ride height however out had an extreme leak and would be back on the ground 20 minutes later. I replaced the shock and all seemed fine until the test drive she is now randomly raising to an alarming height and then shortly after bleeding off back to ride height. Day 2 and still having the issue intermittently. Any thoughts

Is the suspension in automatic mode? I would try playing around with the ride height settings.

Is there a yellow light warning on your dash? If you have software, clear all the codes.

Thats very odd. There’s just no category on the mmi for the air suspension? I believe you press the “car” button on the centre console and it should bring you to a suspension setting.

Someone turned the option off when the car was broken.
Go to a shop that has a VCDS to turn it back on

Why would mechanics do something such as this?

I didn't say the mechanic turned it off, someone might do it to hide the failures. Did you have the function before replacing the shock?

Oh ok my bad. Yes this would be a good cover up for a dealer or seller to make more money.
