Default Good deal on new car?

Hello, just wanted to gauge what experiences you guys had on buying the 2019 Audi S4 and if this is a good deal? First time Audi buyer here:

2019 Audi S4 premium plus w/ sport package and MSRP of 61540. Dealer is willing to go down to 55900 but this is over email only and without really trying. Planning to finance through my own bank as the dealer is quoting an APR of 4.99%. However they did say they could probably match a lower rate as well. What advices do you guys have for me when I actually go into the dealership? Also is the deal I’m getting already decent or should I try for a little more.

Thanks!!

It depends on what incentives are running but you can usually get $8K off without trying too hard on an S4. Mine was MSRP at $67K but I only paid $58.5K. It worked out well because someone had ordered the car and then didn't buy it so they seemed decently motivated to unload it. Just so happened to coincide to the same day that I started car shopping.

Thanks for the reply. I will def try and shoot for a better deal then. May I ask what kind of interest rate did you receive?

FYI, 850 is the max a FICO score can go.

Do they have the spec car you want?

Some of that discount you're being quoted may only apply if you finance through Audi - the dealer can clarify

Depends on which FICO product.. FICO Auto 8 & FICO Bankcard 8 scores go to 900.

I should also mention that for auto, anything over 740 will get you top tier.

Correct, this is FICO auto loan not regular fico. I bought a subaru ascent 3 weeks ago and it came back 880. I can find and scan it if you don't believe me.

Those guys must have paid cash for their S4s...

Check credit unions too. As I recall AFS wanted 3.99% that day
