Default Anyone else experience a Climatronic failure?

Hey everyone.

I'm having an issue with my climatronic where it will randomly just turn off. All the lights on the climatronic go off, and I cannot adjust temperature, fan speed, or where the air comes out of. I can still control heated/cooled seats, and turning the system off and on even though I cannot see the lights on those buttons.

Sometimes it randomly comes on. Some times it doesn't.

I'm guessing I need to replace my climatronic, but I wanted to see if anyone else had any issues with this.

Where are you located? What year is the car? What is the mileage? Is it throwing any codes?

That’s really picky. You mean you want relevant information or was this supposed to be a guessing game?

My scan shows: Voltage terminal 30: 13.35 V

So, I think your battery is getting weak overall, but sure looks like a bad connection/wire to your comfort module, but if you have never changed your battery, could be cheapest place to start, weak battery can cause all sorts of issues.

So that begs the question... best place to get a replacement batter? I'm assuming these are not cheap batteries.

‘Having put in 15 years and nearly 240k miles on Audis, i can tell you that my batteries have typically lasted approx 6 years. So I am guessing that it is time for you to replace yours. Pulse the code run seems to be saying the same thing. Since the new battery needs to be coded to the car I have always stuck with OEM at the dealer. Of course you can probably have it done at a third party as well.
