Coolant pump/serpentine belt HELP!
So I have to change my crossover pipe on my C6 I'm a little nervous about messing with the serpentine belt and coolant pump I don't want to mess up the timing or something like that
any advice on reinstalling them once there off

Unless I am really sleepy right now I don't think either of those have anything to do with timing. Nothing to worry about there.

So the ribbed belt has a tensioner to loosen it
I seen that it's only supposed to be turned clock wise so how do you tighten once loose keep turning clock wise or is ok to go counter clock wise to tighten the belt back

Only turn the crank clockwise. There is a spring loaded tensioner to tension the belt. You don’t tension the belt by turning the crank.
You havent said which engine engine you’re talking about, but AFAIK all the A6 engines have timing belts or chains at the rear of the engine. Serpentine belt has nothing to do with timing.
board member kelisko made this useful video for serpentine belt replacement on the 3.2 FSI BKH engine
EDIT: Maybe I misunderstood your post above. You’re taking about turning the tensioner, not the crank, right? I. That case it’s soring loaded so you don’t need to turn it anti-clockwise, it will spring back once released.

Issa 3.2 2006
I grabbed this 2006 A6 C6 3.2 for literally nothing.
the valve covers are leaking and the coolant Crossover pipe is broken at one of the hose ports.
I found a couple of good write-ups for the Crossover pipe, getting to it is what has me hesitant about the project.
Valve covers are leaking I hope changing the gasket fixes it.
Not a mechanic, I got a Audi and I can only afford parts and tool 😂🤣😂lol

Well it sounds like you have a challenge on your hands. Fortunately there is a massive amount of good info on this forum if you want to research things. The kelisko video I linked above should help with removing and refitting the serpentine belt and this one from edge motors shows you how to get to the thermostat.

Thanks for correcting my thinking, raj Yes, I was thinking of the FSI change over for the 4.2 V8. In checking the Bentley Repair Manual all engines, V6s, V8s, & V10s, for the C6 platform were chain driven camshafts.
