My 98 A4 2.8's original (!!) exhaust needs to be replaced @ 280K miles.
Unreal, especially living in New England....I think I'll put a techtonics on it.

My 16yo daughter needs a car and this owes me nothing, would be a great car for her.
Plus it's a 5 spd and she needs to drive a manual. Life skill etc etc

Checking the area, I noticed the heat shield above it has almost disintegrated.
I think it's discontinued, no surprise after 21 years...
Looking for suggestions on sourcing this part...

Anyone have an inside source to scour the audi parts database?
This is a very very early 1998 A4.

#23 in the bentley; I haven't been able to find the same illustration on any of the audi parts sites online



This is what's left of it...if I try to remove it, it's going to turn to rust flakes,
Won't be enough left to use as a template to make something myself.
