Does anyone know where the factory Audi rear entertainment dvd drive is located? Going to retrofit this along with lane assist and night vision

In between the rear seats.

For the lane assist you’ll have to go to the dealer to calibrate the front cam.
For the night vision, same to remove the CP.

Has anyone done these retrofits before? I use to do tons of retrofits for Mercedes. Did a few to my 2007 A8. Does anyone make the lane assist harness for this car or will I have to custom make it? Windshield is chipped anyway so I’ll get it replaced. Coding seems to be straightforward. Anyone done the adaptive cruise before? Car already has heads up display. Any other options I’m missing other than the ones discussed?

I agree that a forum is the best location to seek for info.
You know that people spent a lot of time digging into technical documentations, trials and errors, various costly failure before eventually making things work.
We are more than open, at least me, to share but there is still a minimum.
You might also know that companies are living from this, charging huge amount of money to retrofit the features you are asking.

Maybe you should learn first to say hello, please, thank you and bye?

my apologies in advance if I offended anyone. It was not my intention. I should have introduced myself first. I was a very active member in the Mercedes community (mbworld) under name sunman and contributed thousands of articles, writeups, posts on retrofitting there. I understand your viewpoint. Can we hit the reset button and start fresh eh?

Not that I'm anything around here - but like you I have extensive retrofitting experience, but on BMW. There isn't an OEM feature I can't install/wire/code with NCSExpert/WinKFP or E-Sys. In the Audi world, I'm lucky if I can use my Ross-Tech cable to enable needle sweep on my gauge cluster. If you can do Mercedes retrofits as you say, and have mastered SCN coding, I'm sure Audi will be a breeze.

Just like with Mercedes, I'd start with the ETK and get all necessary parts, connectors and diagrams and get everything wired up. Share that info on the forum and then ask about coding. I'm positive someone will walk you through it. There seem to be some pretty sharp Audi experts here.

i recently purchased a subscription to erwin. Are all Audi wiring diagrams on pdf? In use to seeing complete diagrams with all related modules. Do I need to get a different subscription.
