Default Considering an A4 CPO loaner car...what should I watch out for?

Considering a 2018 A4 CPO loaner car with under 7K miles on it.

I know there are pros and cons to considering this type of car...

What what would you want to know from the dealership?

I'm thinking for sure getting all the service records for the car.

Anything else? Any opinions on this?

Thanks all.

So far the B9 seems very robust car, first service is 10k mi so not much there.

Make sure they transfer/activate the MMI stuff for you.

Research what the dealer is paying for trade-in's, first year depreciation is in the 30% range so negotiate price from there. Maybe negotiate for Audi Care included.

I agree that 30% is the target

2018 A4 B9 CPO loaner here. Love this car. It’s very solid and at those miles there isn’t much to research outside of Carfax (which will likely be boring).

However, If I was to grade my negotiating on this car I’d give myself a D. I’m typically very good at negotiating cars but I was out-gamed on this one. So my only advice would be to walk away if you need to and not get enamored by the car (and do what I did which was to let them see it).

The other thing would be to check out the tires and find out how long the car was sitting. Some reports of flat spotted P7’s out there. Good luck!

I got a 2018 CPO last year and it's been wonderful. I got it early enough in the year that there wasn't much room for negotiation, so probably didn't get the best deal, but the extended unlimited mile warranty has made it worth while for the amount of I drive (already put 20K miles on it!). I would look at dealer websites across the country and go to multiple local dealers. Also ask the local dealers about what other CPOs they're about to put for sale. It would give you a better negotiating position. My dealer put out 2 more CPO's a few weeks after I bought mine and I would've rather had one of those (I liked the blue color better). It might also be useful to ask for the car's maintenance history (if any).

Sorry naive question maybe. What does this entail and how do I know that it has been done ?

When I bought my 2018 CPO dealer loaner with 4200 miles last July I paid 29% off MSRP. They gave me 6 months of complimentary Audi Connect and a trial for Sirius XM as well. 9 months later I still have Sirius XM that I haven't paid for so I'm not sure how long the 'trial' is.

PS: I have had no issues with the car other than the normal stupid/broken Audi software: Phantom "proximity" alerts and emergency braking for nonexistent obstacles, and changing the stereo 'mode' when the car is turned off.

Essentially get your car registered/associated with you on the Audi Connect Services and web site.

Make sure you get one of these:

Not normal? Are you aware you can adjust the sensitivity or shut it off in the MMI?

Apologies in advance for going off topic.
