Map on HUD?
There is an option on the MMI for the map to be on the HUD. Even though I selected the option, it doesn't appear. I'm not that sure I would want it anyway as it seems that it would be a distraction. I thought it might not work because it is disabled for that reason.
Isn't it working for anyone? Do you find it useful?

Actually, it's not a display of the map. It's a display of upcoming turns. If you are coming up on a turn you need to make, it's simply a picture of an arrow with the turn direction along with a gauge that shows how long until the turn, decreasing as you get closer. On my A6, the map appears on the main screen, and also on my gauge cluster.

You first enable it in the MMI. I don't remember the exact menu, but if you search around you can find it. There are two options you can check, the map and speed.
As others have posted, the map (actually just the leg you are on and the next leg after a turn) only appears when you put in a destination.
It's a nice feature.
