Default Front speakers keep blowing

Hey there I'm new to this forum, I've owned two 2010 A6 S-Lines and I've been having problems with my front door speakers blowing (one on each car). Just wondering if anyone has had the same issue and wondering if its common. Also if anyone has any information on the type of bose speakers they are and advice on replacing them that would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Blowing, as in the speakers short out? Or something physically happened to them? Like ripped cone or something

if if they are shooting out, I’d start with checking the wires in the door boot. Maybe they are frayed and shorting out?

Sometimes the bass in the door speaker is distorted at all volume levels and theres a distinct vibrating and rattling sound in the speaker on certain bass notes and then the next time I jump in the car the speaker sounds is fine. The same thing happened on my previous Audi

Thanks

HUMIDITY! With time, the dust cap comes off because of humidity. In my case I did let the car sit outside with a cloth cover on it during a rainy season, for weeks. I will never do that again. The cloth cover was keeping the water and humidity for days after each rain and humidity got into the car somehow. I usually play music loud so I assume the speakers dust caps which did not have enough time to dry off just blew.

No need to replace the speakers. Remove the door panel and reseal the dust caps with some speaker dust cap glue.
Happened to me as I explained above a few years back. I glued the caps back on and no issues since.

Here is how I removed my door panel. There must be other DIY videos that can also be helpful.

I don't remember the exact dates but this is way after fixing the speaker. The BOSE sounds great! People always ask me if I fitted the car with a custom sound system.

I noticed you don’t drive with the rear armrest down... I always have mine down, makes the back look more fancy, like it’s two nice big seats. Lol

I concur and I use to put it down because of that. However, sometimes, I fold it back up when I drive on some bad roads. I can hear it rattle a bit which can be annoying. When folded up, it's quiet
