Default UK: My car is damaged. What are my options?

Hi everyone,

I recently bought an A4. I have been very happy with it so far, recently I was with my friends when one of them spotted that car is damaged from one side below the side skirts.
I have not hit it anywhere as far as I can remember, 95% of time I am on Motorways.
I suspect this was before I bought it, I should probably go back to dealer and ask him why was I not informed about this. The only reason I haven't yet is because I don't know how to prove that I did not do that.

Posting pictures in attachments if that helps to give some advise.

Looks like someone got lazy and tried to lift the car in the middle so they could raise both front and rear wheels the same time.

How long have you had it? I think it's going to be tough for you to get anything from the dealer. It's your responsibility to check the car before driving off the lot. Good luck though..

Was it used? I would have to think that if the damage was that bad on a new car, they would have said something. Now if it's used, that could be different..figuring you would have caught it while looking it over.
I test drove a used one last summer and I found damage to the back bumper that the dealer would have never told me about. They did agree to fix it if i wanted to buy the car, which I didn't.

It was used, It not visible if you standing closed to the car, as the side skirt hides it.

So after quite a struggle I was able to get a picture from dealers website that shows that car was damaged when they took pictures for add.
Do I now stand a chance to get back at them ?

Good luck. I doubt it since they could easily point out that it was in plain view. But it never hurts to ask since you never know.

i was sent pictures, but they were tiny. only the front side was visible
in the video they avoided low angle camera from this side, but shot under skirts on driver side.
lets see how it goes, fingers crossed
