Default Fine scratch on sat nav screen

Hi guys, I have just discovered the finest scratch on my 2018 S5's sat nav screen in the centre of the dash. Anybody know if there is anything that can be done about this. I have read a lot of articles online about using a magic eraser on phones, not sure if this is the same thing. Also, some articles say that it makes it worse. Any help would be appreciated.

I wouldn't touch it. At all. Your nav screen isn't glass like a mobile phone, so I would never rub it with a magic eraser.

I've used Novus plastic polish (stage 1) before and it worked well. Not on the S5/S4 though so use at your own risk.

Has anyone tried to put a screen protector on the VC and MMI screen?

Why - these are not touch screens like phones & tablets?

True, but they can still get scratched by touch-happy passengers or by your watch or whatever while putting up a sunshade, etc., probably even more so than touchscreens because they weren't designed to be touched in the first place. I mean, OP did manage to scratch his.

Amazon Amazon

Haven't tried it but could see it coming in handy just to protect the screen from cleaning or whatever even though it's not a touch screen.

In my defence I didn't scratch mine, I only purchases the car in March. I think it's something I didn't notice when inspecting the car

Have you looked into Meguiar's PlastX? Not sure if it'll work on screens but it's just a product you can do further research on... If you're going to use it you might need to apply it to the entire screen to even everything out...

Like others said, if it's not too bad, I wouldn't worry about it. The chances of you making it worse is greater. Also, might worth asking the dealer if they can do anything about it, since you didn't scratch it...

I have a screen protector on the MMI screen and it works great - can barely notice it's there. Crystal clear. $10 on Amazon.
