So this is a post for anyone who has ever wondered what was inside that big round box at the back of their exhaust....
That big round box is not a muffler at all; it is in fact a speaker encased in a round metal box.
The SQ5 tdi doesn't come with rear muffler but just a resonator in the centre and the usual dpf.

No. Audi designed SQ5 for performance. The second exhaust pipe mostly is for appearamce purposes.

In Germany they sell this exhaust dual tailpipe as a Q5 retrofit add on kit incl sound booster and rear bumper skirt.

My SQ5 comes with 2 working tail pipes on either side complete with a speaker on each.

I'd say if you were to cut out those 2 speakers you might get better sound or nothing but that diesel sound. I use the milltek active sound control which is controlled via an app on my phone in turns acts something like an amplifier... you can either turn volume up or down and control the sound characteristics. Cool toy.

Only box I can find after the dpfs is a resonator.

Hahaha... nothing will ever beat a proper exhaust sound but, without removing dpfs it's as good as it'll get for now.
