Default Buying 2018 A4 Premium Plus - Former Silvecar?

I'm thinking of purchasing a 2018 A4 Premium Plus, and I'm 99% sure it was a former Silvercar Rental. It has 20,700 miles on it. Price is $32,000, stickered at 48K.

Has anyone purchased a former Silvercar rental? How well would you imagine that they are maintained? With 30 months and 30,000 miles left on the warranty I feel OK about trying it. Thoughts?

Stunned, do you know that the original warranty is still in effect when the car was used for commercial purposes?

I'm being told that yes, there are 29 months and ~29,000 mile remaining on this vehicle's original warranty and that will carry over to the second owner.

You'll need to get that in writing. No promissory, verbal statements.

Here's what the warranty book says, regarding what voids the warranty. I'd confirm the history and still get it in writing from Audi USA.

I would never buy a formal rental/commercial car. I do rentals a lot and I beat them pretty hard because I don't care. Not damage them, but I floor them all the time and brake hard. I'd stay away if I were you.

Ever since silvercar started, I’ve made a mental note to stay away from silver preowned A4, q5, etc., although I read somewhere recently that they are going to start offering other colors. To me that seems counterintuitive to their brand.

You mean because of the negative connotation associated with the color?

No, i actually like silver. It’s just you never know if the rental history shows up in the Carfax. I would personally not buy a former rental due to uncertain service history and possible abuse at the hands of the renter.

I think the asking price is steep for this car regardless. I’d go for a cpo 2017 for similar money.
