Default Coolant gremlin.

Bought A6 2.7 turbo that originally had a coolant leak. Car was parked for over a year, filled it back up and it will not leak now. Taking apart the motor piece-by-piece looking for any signs of where it was leaking, can't find any crystallizing on the hoses or auxiliary pump or anywhere. Also don't see any cracks or worn hoses. What's the best plan of attack from here? But there are crystals in the bottom of v..

Had you not partially disassembled the engine, I would have suggested getting the appropriate adapter and manually pressurizing the cooling system.

While the patient is open, I suggest you replace the after-run pump with the 034 bypass hose. If you don't shut the engine off abruptly after a hard run with heavy turbo boost, the pump will never run. My 01 2.7 just hit 300k miles and it never ran. I replaced a leaking pump once. 2nd leaker last fall got the 034 hose. Should have bypassed it the first time.

Check your coolant reservoir for tiny cracks and replace the plastic tee on the front hose with a brass tee if not done yet.

Yea.... The car was parked cause of "it was pissing coolant" my brother said. Now....... Can't get it to drip even though it was full. And thanks on the advice on the t fitting. I wanna swap out all weak points since I'm ballz deep already...
And on a side note. If I put the coolant temp sensor back in lower hose, and cap the reservoir and hook aux up wouldn't I have a sealed system again? Only removed intake manifold, aux pump and temp sensor to drain...maybe fog machine the system and find leak that way maybe?

Just hazarding a guess...... Is the pipe listed as an assembly in the parts description of the diagram you posted? (i.e. #16) If so then the O ring may be included as part of the assembly.

It doesn't have a list anywhere of what the numbers are referring to.
